I would like to briefly introduce myself.
I come from the greater Cologne area in Germany.
After studying medicine at Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Cologne,
I completed my specialist training at the Evangelical Hospital in Cologne-Kalk.

I am a specialist in surgery (Germany), visceral surgery (Spain) and a certified coloproctologist (BCD).
For many years, I have been caring for patients with diseases of the rectum –
with experience, patience and an open ear for their concerns.

Afterwards, I worked at Herz-Jesu Hospital in Lindlar and later as a senior consultant in the fields of general surgery, visceral surgery and coloproctology at hospitals in Bedburg, Hamm, Wermelskirchen and Remscheid.
Following this intensive period in hospital medicine, I became a partner in a group practice in Hofgeismar and Bad Karlshafen, which also provided surgical care for two hospitals.
The associated day and night duties ultimately led me to decide to work exclusively on an outpatient basis and independently.

I therefore took over a solo practice in Bremen, where I specialised in diseases of the rectum and veins and also performed surgical procedures.
Since 2013, I have focused in particular on the treatment of pilonidal sinus using the pit picking technique.

In 2023, my wife and I sold our practice and emigrated to Mallorca – initially without any professional plans.
After some time, however, we realised how much we missed working with people and practising medicine.
This led to the idea of Inselproktologie – a small, personal practice where we can share our experience and continue our work with genuine enjoyment.
